WOAL is the combination of wool, the material, and wall, the space that welcomes.
100% natural wool that, thanks to an ancient pressing technique, becomes felt, the material that WOAL has chosen to produce decorative elements between design, high-level craftsmanship and the uniqueness of custom-made pieces.

The peculiarity of these modules is that they can hold objects thanks to pockets that are made with a sophisticated method of solids and voids remaining one with the fabric itself, that is, without the aid of seams. They are wall-hanging panels and they come in different sizes so that they can fit in any sort of space. Their versatility makes it possible to choose to leave them empty by exploiting their decorative power or to give them a functionality to hold objects.

Every piece is the result of a long process that starts with the design of each detail, the choice of which and how many pockets to create, and the part that makes every piece unique, that of hand-cutting all the modules one at a time, following the natural lines of the felt, opening the pockets and finally embossing the WOAL logo.

The decision to put the logo on view is because the word WOAL precisely embodies the philosophy of the project, which is to experiment with and investigate matter in order to produce pieces capable of interacting with the space that will welcome them and with the people who will live in those environments.

All this creates objects that will always be unique, that already have their own beauty given by the felt worked to a thickness of about 7 mm and the freehand cut that can never be identical to the previous one.

Looking at a WOAL piece for the first time, one is fascinated by the essentiality of the felt and the whiteness of the wool, but also by the sinuosity and roundness of the pockets that create a play of lines, highs and lows, giving life to highly decorative and sophisticated pieces, ideal in environments characterised by natural and raw materials such as stone, wood, exposed concrete, where the felt creates a pleasant contrast of textures, enhancing the essence of each element.
